The Season of Grace

Grace in the Worship of the King

Luke 1:46-55

This Christmas season, we will walk through the Christmas story from the perspective of Mary the mother of Jesus. Through the birth of Jesus Christ, we will see unexpected ways that God brings grace and mercy into our lives. May we be encouraged to join in the praising of our Lord through song even when the lyrics or difficult and the music isn’t our preferred style. Let us see the importance of praising the Savior in community.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Guest Speaker

We will have a guest speaker next Sunday, January 4th with Dr. Paul Miles. Born in Ukraine, Paul runs Grace Abroad Ministries. Paul is an author, conference speaker, and the editor of the Journal of Chafer Theological Seminary – Pneumatikos.

Family Budgeting Class

Starting on January 19th, the church will host a 4-week family budgeting class to help individuals and couple take control of their personal finances. The cost is $5 to reserve your space. Let your neighbors know about this guilt free budgeting resource.

Men’s Advance

The next Men’s Advance will be on the weekend of February 6-8. Invite your friends to join us for excellent fellowship.

Growth Group

Growth Group returns on Sunday, January 11th at the church and Wednesday, January 14th at the Thibodaux home in Metairie. Begin to plan to join one group for the spring. It is an excellent way to start the year.

Wednesday Prayer Meeting

There is no prayer meeting this Wednesday.

Prayer Meeting will return on Wednesday, January 7th.

Grace 315

Grace 315 will meet on January 11th and 25th. Please look for the email to sign up to provide a meal for the spring meetings.

Church Refresh

The leadership team plans to update the front on the sanctuary (the area under the baptistry) with fresh paint, lighting, etc. If you would like to volunteer your time and talents, please inform Pastor Shawn.
