Out of the Pit and into the Fire

Psalm 40

Pastor Shawn presents the church with his own personal mixtape of Psalms to start 2026. We will look at 4 Psalms to help us begin the new year in a spirit of praise. This morning, we will walk through Psalm 40. David wrote this Psalm to teach Israel how he encouraged himself when his own sinfulness surrounded him and gave his enemies an opportunity to tear him down. David reveals how he sang to restore hope in the LORD.

Recall the days when the LORD set you on the Rock.

Lord’s Supper Lunch

The next Lord’s Supper Lunch will be on Sunday, February 1st.

Family Budgeting Class

Starting on January 19th, the church will host a 4-week family budgeting class to help individuals and couple take control of their personal finances. Let your neighbors know about this guilt free budgeting resource.

Men’s Advance

The next Men’s Advance will be on the weekend of February 6-8. Invite your friends to join us for excellent fellowship. Speak with John Ritter to see how you can volunteer this weekend.

Ladies Lunch

The first Ladies Lunch of 2026 will be on Saturday, February 7th at noon. While husbands enjoy the Men's Advance, the women will enjoy fellowship and good food at District New Orleans (formerly Donuts) in Elmwood. RSVP to Jen if you can make it!

Wednesday Prayer Meeting

Prayer Meeting is back this Wednesday at 8:30am.

Growth Group

Growth Group is at the church at 6:30pm tonight and on Wednesday, January 21st at the Thibodaux home in Metairie at 7:00pm. This is an excellent to connect with your church family.
